Informational — not legal advice

Signature choices

A plain-language reference for the font and drawn signatures available in episto.

Read this first

  • This page is informational and does not replace advice from a lawyer.
  • episto adds the selected signature to the letter that is printed and posted.
  • If a recipient requires a specific legal form, confirm that requirement before sending.

Signature choices we show

The product offers two printed-letter signature choices.

  • Font signature Your name is rendered in a signature-style font. This is useful for everyday formal correspondence when a clean printed name is enough.
  • Drawn signature You draw your signature on screen and we place it on the letter. This is the default choice because it carries your own visible mark on paper.

When to check first

Some matters have formal signing requirements set by law, by contract, or by the recipient. episto does not decide those requirements for you.

For contracts, official filings, or time-sensitive disputes, confirm the required signature format with the recipient or a lawyer before sending.
